One of my true passions is black-and-white photography. There is something magical about removing color from an image. Without the distraction of color, attention shifts to light, shadow, tone, texture, and composition, often revealing details that might otherwise go unnoticed. In many ways, black-and-white photography allows the character and emotion of a subject to take center stage.
This collection features images captured primarily throughout Vermont, where rural landscapes, historic architecture, and changing seasons provide endless inspiration. You'll also find a selection of photographs from Maine, Georgia, and Florida, each offering its own unique atmosphere and visual appeal. Together, these images reflect my appreciation for the timeless beauty and artistic simplicity that monochrome photography can bring to the world around us.
